Dry coolers are used to cool down the cycling fluid by the ambient air conditions. High performance dry coolers are manufactured with copper tubes and corrugated aluminum fins which improve heat transfer coefficient and are available for vertical and horizontal airflow. Being manufactured with 5/8” (1/2” upon request) copper tubes, dry coolers are classified under two main groups which are BC (vertical type – horizontal airflow) and BD (horizontal type– vertical airflow) and are available with a capacity range of 16 to 316 kW at the catalogue conditions.

COIL PROPERTIES

Tubes : Ø 5/8” copper tubes (1/2” upon request).
Fin : Special corrugated made of aluminium or epoxy coated fins with standard fin spacing of 2.1, 2.5 and 3.0 mm.
Casing : Supporting structure is made of galvanized or aluminum sheets which resist to corrosive atmosphere.
Connections : Headers are made of steel tubes. Inlet and outlet are flanged. Upon request, headers can be made of copper.
Test : All coils are tested with dry air for leakages.
Fan : Dry coolers are dispatched without fans if it is not clearly required. 500 mm dia. 630 mm dia. and 800 mm dia. and upon request 1000 mm dia. & 1200 mm dia. fans are recommended for usage of different dry cooler models. In case of order including the fans, the delivery is made according to the CE standards.
